Carpoolers in Maryland were distressed to discover their shuttle vans and vehicles hauled away after a ‘No Parking’ sign was installed in the wrong location.

Lawmakers urged to include towing professionals in the legislative language, offering the same protection allowed for police, fire and medics.

Police say a young woman whose body was discovered at a St. Paul tow yard met her killer online, apparently while working as an escort.  The towing operator may have prevented disposal of the body.

In Manchester, city leaders are considering a bump to the standard towing rates to help local shop owners stay competitive. Fore some services, the rates could increase more than 50%.
